Zi Jianyong is considered as one of the pioneers of digital signal processing. He has made outstanding achievements in the fields of digital signal processing (DSP) and pattern recognition. He has published many books and won many prizes. Zi has published many papers on DSP and pattern recognition.
Globally recognized for his achievements in large-scale data analysis, Li has developed many innovative methods for in-memory computation. He has published more than 30 academic papers in premier venues. He has served on editorial boards of the most cited journals and conferences in signal processing (APSIPA, ICASSP, WiCOMM, IET Control Theory Letters, IABR). Li has supervised and developed graduate students as well as postdoctoral fellows.
Li has played very significant roles in the development of the field of general matrix computation (GMC) techniques for computer vision, machine learning and signal processing. His research has received over 135 awards, citations, and honours, including 16 best paper awards at major conferences, 20 best paper awards at international conferences, and 100,000 citations. Li has made key contributions to the GEMM matrix computation (GPU/CPU) paradigm, the General Matrix Computation (GMC) Programming Model, and computer vision. Li has trained more than 90 doctoral students and 200 postdoctoral fellows.
